Senior ETL Developer – Snowflake
Location: Calgary, AB
Work Mode: 5 Days Onsite
Job Description
Seeking a Senior ETL Developer with strong Snowflake expertise to design scalable, secure, and cost-effective data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Medallion architecture, data governance, data quality, Snowflake Cortex, and AI solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end ETL pipelines and data solutions using Snowflake.
- Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), data modelling, CDC, and data ingestion.
- Develop transformations using SQL, Python, stored procedures, Snowpipe, and IDMC.
- Implement Snowflake security, RBAC, dynamic data masking, row-access policies, and governance.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, credit consumption, and data quality.
- Develop AI agents using structured and unstructured data and leverage Snowflake Marketplace.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and Azure DevOps, with Control-M orchestration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, mentor junior developers, and support BI tools such as Power BI and Qlik.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, and data architecture.
- 4+ years of hands-on Snowflake experience.
- Proven production experience with Medallion architecture.
- Strong SQL, Python, stored procedures, and IDMC pipeline development skills.
- Experience with data governance, security, data modelling, and CI/CD.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred: Railway industry or operational data experience.
