Guidewire QA Engineer – Functional Testing (PC, BC & CC)

location : Toronto ,ON

Duration : Contract

Key Responsibilities & Skills:

  • 6+ years of Guidewire functional testing experience across PolicyCenter (PC), BillingCenter (BC), and ClaimCenter (CC).
  • Strong experience in functional, regression, integration, and UAT testing.
  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test documentation.
  • Defect tracking and test management using JIRA or similar tools.
  • Participate in requirements elaboration, sprint planning, demos, and release readiness.
  • Collaborate with developers, BAs, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Basic SQL/database validation skills.
  • Knowledge of Selenium/Tosca or other test automation tools.
  • Understanding of insurance domain, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and customer communication skills.
  • Guidewire/QA certifications such as ISTQB/CSTE are a plus.

Responsibilities

Create and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and documentation for Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, covering functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing. Track defects, collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to resolve issues, and contribute to requirements elaboration, sprint planning, demos, and release readiness.

Requirements

Requires 6+ years of Guidewire functional testing experience across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter, along with experience in test management, defect tracking, and basic SQL/database validation. Knowledge of Selenium, Tosca, insurance, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD is expected; ISTQB or CSTE certification is a plus.
