Role: Logistics Support Engineer

Job Description:
We are seeking a Logistics Support Engineer to provide technical and operational support for logistics, warehouse, transportation, and supply-chain technology systems. The role will focus on application support, incident management, system monitoring, troubleshooting, integrations, and coordination with business and technology teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L1/L2 production support for logistics, warehouse, transportation, and supply-chain applications.
- Monitor application health, interfaces, scheduled jobs, APIs, and system integrations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to WMS, TMS, ERP, order management, and logistics applications.
- Support logistics processes including order management, inventory, shipment, delivery, warehouse operations, and transportation workflows.
- Analyze application, database, and integration issues and perform root-cause analysis (RCA).
- Monitor and troubleshoot API, EDI, file-based, and system-to-system integrations.
- Work with development, infrastructure, database, network, and third-party support teams to resolve complex issues.
- Perform SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and issue analysis.
- Manage incidents, service requests, problems, and changes using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Monitor batch jobs, interfaces, alerts, and scheduled processes and ensure timely resolution of failures.
- Support application releases, patches, configuration changes, and deployment activities.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting guides, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
- Coordinate with logistics and business stakeholders to understand operational issues and provide timely solutions.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call/rotational support when required.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend automation or process improvements.
Required Technical Skills
- 4–8 years of experience in production/application support or technology operations.
- Experience supporting logistics, supply-chain, warehouse, transportation, or retail systems.
- Hands-on experience with WMS/TMS/ERP or logistics applications.
- Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, EDI, XML/JSON, and system integrations.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
- Experience with application and infrastructure monitoring tools.
- Experience with ServiceNow, Jira, or similar ITSM tools.
- Understanding of incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Knowledge of batch scheduling tools such as Control-M, Autosys, or equivalent is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS is an advantage.
- Knowledge of scripting using Shell, Python, or PowerShell is desirable.
