Role : Mainframe Quality Engineer (QE)
Experience: 7+ Years
Duration : Contract
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Quality Engineer with strong expertise in manual and automation testing of mainframe applications. Banking or Financial Services domain experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate batch jobs, online transactions, file processing, and DB2 data.
- Analyze requirements and develop effective test scenarios.
- Execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Track and resolve defects using Jira or ALM.
- Support UAT, production validation, and Agile ceremonies.
- Maintain test documentation and execution reports.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of Mainframe Testing or Quality Engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF.
- Experience testing batch and online applications.
- Hands-on SQL and backend data validation skills.
- Familiarity with Jira, ALM, and defect management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
