Senior Java Developer : Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty.
Hybrid: 2-3 days a week onsite
Location: Toronto ON
Contract position
Design and architect enterprise applications using Open Liberty/WebSphere Liberty. Lead application modernization and migration programs from traditional WebSphere Application Server (WAS) to Open Liberty. Develop cloud-native microservices using Java| Spring Boot| Jakarta EE| and Open Liberty. Define application architecture| deployment strategies| and integration patterns. Implement CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices. Design scalable| secure| and highly available solutions on cloud platforms. Collaborate with business| development| infrastructure| and security teams. Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership to development teams. Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize application environments. Create architecture documents| technical standards| and governance frameworks.
