Position : Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA / Technical Lead
Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada
Work Mode: Onsite - Full Time
Mandatory Skills:
- 10–15+ years of enterprise Microsoft SQL Server DBA production support experience.
- Strong SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, SSMS and SQL Agent.
- Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, HA/DR.
- Backup, Recovery, Restore Testing and Disaster Recovery.
- SQL Server installation, configuration, upgrades, patching and migrations.
- Advanced T-SQL, Query Optimization and Performance Tuning.
- Indexing, Execution Plans, Deadlocks, Blocking and Query Store.
- Windows Server, PowerShell and IIS/Infrastructure troubleshooting.
- 24x7 Production Support, L2/L3, RCA and Incident Management.
- DBA Team Leadership, SLA Management and Stakeholder Coordination.

Responsibilities
Lead enterprise SQL Server database administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, backups, recovery, and high-availability and disaster-recovery operations. Provide 24x7 L2/L3 production support, performance tuning, incident management and root-cause analysis, while leading the DBA team and coordinating SLAs and stakeholders.
Requirements
Requires 10–15+ years of enterprise Microsoft SQL Server DBA production-support experience, with strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022, T-SQL, performance tuning, and HA/DR technologies. Candidates should also have experience with Windows Server, PowerShell, infrastructure troubleshooting, 24x7 support, team leadership, SLA management, and stakeholder coordination.
