Job Description

We are looking for a Tandem Developer with strong experience in HP NonStop/Tandem mainframe environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications on Tandem/HP NonStop systems.
  • Work with COBOL, TAL, and TACL programming languages.
  • Develop and support batch and online applications.
  • Perform coding, debugging, testing, and production support.
  • Work with SQL/Enscribe databases for data processing.
  • Analyze production issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Perform application enhancements and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, QA, and other technical teams.
  • Prepare technical documentation and participate in code reviews.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Tandem/HP NonStop development.
  • Strong experience with Tandem COBOL.
  • Hands-on experience with TAL/TACL.
  • Good knowledge of SQL and Enscribe.
  • Experience with batch processing and production support.
  • Understanding of mainframe concepts and application architecture.
  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Pathway.
  • Knowledge of Guardian operating system.
  • Experience with MQ or messaging systems.
  • Knowledge of C, Java, or other programming languages.
  • Experience in banking, financial services, or other high-volume transaction environments
