ABOUT APT Travel Group

At APT Travel Group, we create unforgettable travel experiences around the world. With nearly a century of experience, we're proud to be one of Australia's most respected travel companies, offering premium and luxury journeys across river cruising, touring, rail and expedition travel.

As we continue to grow in the North American market, we're looking for passionate travel professionals who love helping customers turn their travel dreams into reality.

This role requires availability to work standard business hours in the applicable North American time zone (USA/Canada). Australian business hours do not apply to this position.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a North America Reservations Consultant to join our Reservations team.

In this sales and customer-focused role, you'll support customers and travel agent partners across the North American market. Working within a fast-paced contact centre environment, you'll manage enquiries, create and maintain bookings, provide expert destination advice, and identify opportunities to maximise sales and enhance the customer experience.

You'll take ownership of your bookings from enquiry through to travel, working collaboratively with supporting teams while maintaining a high level of accountability for booking administration, customer service and sales performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deliver exceptional service to customers and travel agent partners, managing enquiries via phone and email.
  • Convert sales opportunities into bookings by providing expert advice and recommending suitable travel experiences, products and upgrades.
  • Create, maintain and manage accurate reservations, including tours, flights and associated travel arrangements.
  • Take ownership of bookings from enquiry through to completion, ensuring all administration, documentation and follow-up activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Proactively follow up sales leads, web enquiries and outstanding opportunities to support sales and conversion targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless customer experience while contributing to team performance and service standards.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who is passionate about travel, enjoys building relationships and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.

You will bring:

  • Previous experience in travel reservations, travel sales, customer service or a contact centre environment.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to identify opportunities and convert enquiries into bookings.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team while taking ownership of your individual workload.
  • Knowledge of North America travel products or destinations will be highly regarded.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The opportunity to experience our global products firsthand through familiarisation trips
  • Exclusive discounted travel products for family and friends
  • Career development opportunities across the APT Travel Group
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Program, supporting your health and wellbeing

At APT Travel Group, we're committed to creating an environment where our people can thrive, grow their careers and share in our passion for travel.
