Hiring: Terraform Developer | Halifax, NS, Canada
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia – 4 days/week onsite (Mandatory, non-negotiable)
Interview: Face-to-face interview required
Role Overview:
Capital Markets Canada is seeking a skilled Terraform Developer to join the Aperture Data Insights team within the Quantitative Technology Services (QTS) Data Cloud Compute stream.
We are looking for a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Data Engineering Specialist with strong expertise in Terraform, Azure, infrastructure automation, and modern cloud data platforms.
Key Responsibilities & Skills:
✅ Cloud Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with Azure cloud infrastructure, scalable deployments, and cloud network troubleshooting.
✅ Terraform / Infrastructure as Code: Strong experience developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing Terraform configurations.
✅ Kubernetes & Containers: Practical experience with Kubernetes and containerization technologies.
✅ CI/CD Pipelines: Experience building and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
✅ Data Platforms: Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, query federation, and core data engineering concepts.
✅ Python Development: Hands-on Python programming experience.
✅ Version Control & Artifact Management: Experience with GitHub, Artifactory, and Nexus.
✅ Enterprise Integration: Experience integrating SaaS solutions with enterprise systems and working across multiple technology platforms.
Ideal Candidate:
- Strong technical expertise in cloud infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
- Proven troubleshooting skills across cloud networking, Terraform, and containerized environments.
- Ability to support modern data engineering platforms and build scalable, reliable infrastructure.
- Comfortable working across cloud operations, automation, and data engineering teams.
📌 Important Requirements:
- Must be available to work onsite in Halifax 4 days per week.
- Face-to-face interview is mandatory.
