Job Title: wiring and bonding technician

Job Location - North York, ON, Canada

Pay - 23$ CAN per hour

Employment type: Contract (3 months) to Fulltime

Years of experience: 1 to 5 years

Key skills and experience

1. Strain gauge bonding

  • Experience installing or bonding strain gauges, sensors, or other delicate electronic components.
  • Comfortable with careful surface preparation, cleaning, gauge positioning/alignment, adhesive application and curing. These are critical because bonding quality and gauge alignment affect how accurately strain from the metal body is transferred to the gauge.
  • Ability to work with very small, delicate components without damaging them.

2. Fine wiring and soldering

  • Strong hand-soldering skills, particularly fine wires and small electrical connections.
  • Ability to follow wiring diagrams/schematics.
  • Load-cell strain gauges are commonly electrically arranged into a Wheatstone bridge, so familiarity with basic bridge circuits would be valuable

3.Basic electrical/electronics knowledge The technician does not necessarily need to be an electronics engineer, but should understand:

  • Resistance
  • Voltage
  • Continuity
  • Strain gauges
  • Basic electrical circuits
  1. Inspection and quality mindset I would consider this especially important for a precision manufacturing environment.

Looking for someone who:

  • Is detail-oriented.
  • Can consistently follow written work instructions.
  • Can inspect the quality of their own work.
  • Understands the importance of cleanliness and contamination control.
  • Can document production or quality information accurately.
  • Is comfortable doing repetitive precision work where consistency matters.
