The ACE Board of Directors Selection Committee is soliciting interested parties with mining industry experience to join the ACE Board of Directors, to help us meet our mission:

• Forge mining related relationships and alliances for ʔaq̓am̓.

• Assist staff to analyze, activate and manage business opportunities that are profitable.

• Develop and advocate for training, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities; and

• Collaborate to advance ʔaq̓am̓ community strategic priorities.

As an engaged director, duties may include, but are not limited to:

• Establishing and approving corporate policies that impact governance, strategy, or corporate performance.

• Evaluating reports and presentations made by management, external advisors, or others.

• Selecting, monitoring, evaluating, compensating, and (if necessary) replacing managers, and the planning of management succession.

• Reviewing and approving management’s strategic and business plans, understanding and questioning the assumptions upon which such plans are based, and reaching an independent judgment as to the probability that the plans can be realized.

• Promoting ethical behaviour and compliance with policies, laws, and regulations, and

• Assessing the ACE Board of Directors own effectiveness in fulfilling these and other responsibilities .

 Details

• Duration: 2 year term

▪         Time Commitment: 1-2 days per month which includes ½ day monthly board meeting and ½ day monthly board meeting preparation

• Additional meetings & approvals as required

• Compensation: $450/monthly stipend. Additional ½ days $225, or Full days $450
