The Chef Manager is a passionate culinary leader who takes pride in delivering exceptional food and memorable dining experiences. The successful candidate has a genuine love for creating great food, maintains the highest standards of quality, and is committed to serving only the very best to guests.

This individual is an expert in culinary techniques, food preparation, presentation, and execution. They lead by example in the kitchen and inspire others through coaching, training, and mentorship. The Chef Manager is responsible for building a culture focused on food quality, consistency, innovation, and continuous improvement while ensuring all food safety and operational standards are met.

Job Responsibilities

Champion a culture of culinary excellence and food quality throughout the operation.
Prepare and serve high-quality, nutritious, and visually appealing meals that exceed guest expectations.
Ensure all food is prepared, cooked, and presented to the highest standards.
Act as the culinary expert within the operation, providing leadership and guidance on cooking techniques, food preparation, and menu execution.
Lead, coach, train, and develop cooks and kitchen team members to improve their culinary skills and knowledge.
Foster a passion for food quality and hospitality among all kitchen staff.
Conduct regular training sessions focused on cooking methods, recipe execution, presentation standards, and food safety.
Monitor food quality daily and address any concerns immediately to ensure a consistent guest experience.
Support menu development and implementation, ensuring recipes are followed and food costs are managed effectively.
Promote innovation by introducing new ideas, techniques, and best practices to enhance the dining experience.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment while ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Build strong relationships with residents, guests, and clients by actively seeking and responding to feedback regarding food quality and service.

Qualifications

Passionate about food and dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences.
Expert knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations.
Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop culinary teams.
High standards for food quality, presentation, and guest satisfaction.
Hands-on leader who enjoys working alongside the team in the kitchen.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Healthcare, senior living, or hospitality experience is considered an asset but is not required.
Demonstrated ability to build a positive culture centered on quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
