Aramark Canada is seeking an enthusiastic individual committed to exceptional customer service to join our Risley Residence Dining Hall team located at Dalhousie University. As a Food Service Worker, you'll help create a welcoming dining experience for students every day. In this hands-on role, you'll provide friendly customer service, prepare and serve food, maintain clean and safe work areas, and support daily dining hall operations while working as part of a dynamic and supportive team.

Job Responsibilities
- Assures quality, courteous customer service is provided to all customers
- Educate customers on menu items, daily features, dining hall events
- Maintains continual cleaning and sanitizing of surrounding work area
- Food preparation
- Stock and merchandise shelves, cereal and bread bar, salad bar, and coolers
- May wash and sanitize component dishes and utensils
- Record temperatures, label products in accordance with FIFO, complete waste log and cleaning log
- Adhere to all Aramark policies and procedures including occupational health and safety and food safety
- May perform other job duties as required
- Experience in the restaurant/food service industry considered an asset
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Must be flexible, as evening and weekend work is required

Responsibilities
Provide courteous customer service, explain menu items and dining hall events, and prepare and serve food. Keep work areas clean and safe, restock food stations, wash and sanitize dishes as needed, and complete temperature, labeling, waste, and cleaning logs.
Requirements
Restaurant or food service experience is considered an asset, and strong customer service skills are expected. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
