We are currently seeking a well-organized individual to join our team as an HVAC Project Coordinator.
Role Description
- Organize project documentation and files.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders.
- Track and submit shop drawings.
- Track change orders, RFIs, and project reports.
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
- Prepare material take-offs and assist with cost estimates.
- Communicate with workers, subcontractors, general contractors, vendors, engineers, clients, and internal staff.
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress.
- Attend site meetings and help keep projects on schedule.Resolve deficiencies within required timelines.
- Handle critical installation issues with customers and site personnel.
- Coordinate on-site logistics, labour, and subcontractors.
- Procure materials and equipment, negotiate pricing, and coordinate deliveries.
- Track HVAC fabrication and installation progress.
- Support quality, safety, scheduling, and project coordination requirements.
- Perform light maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor mechanical replacements.
- Conduct site visits, with potential exposure to noise and extreme weather.
Qualifications
- 1-2 year experience working as a project coordinator in construction
- PMP designation is an asset
- Postsecondary education is an asset
- Knowledge in the Mechanical/HVAC industry is beneficial
- Analytical thinking and problem resolution skills
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team base environment or independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
- Valid G Drivers license required
