About This Location:

Our Home Office is located in the heart of Bloor West Village in Toronto, just steps away from Jane Subway station. This role is an on-site position with a requirement to attend the office five days a week.

About This Role

Under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Pension, Benefits and Wellness and following company policies and procedures; supports the day-to-day administration of employee benefits and pension programs. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, employee communications, benefits maintenance activities, and coordination with internal stakeholders and external benefit providers; and provides administrative support to the Senior Manager, Pension, Benefits and Wellness as well as the Benefit and Pension Team.

Responsibilities

Run eligibility reports and identify new employees eligible for benefits enrollment and communicate with eligible employees regarding benefit enrollment requirements and deadlines.
Coordinate the distribution of benefit materials, including drug cards and other enrollment information.
Review and process benefit enrollment forms in the HRIS/benefits administration system.
Process benefit extensions for terminated employees in accordance with statutory requirements and company policies.
Update and maintain employee benefits information with external providers.
Assist with routine benefits administration activities and data maintenance.
Respond to employee inquiries related to benefits enrollment and coverage.
Manage incoming benefits mail and documentation and distribute accordingly.
Assist the Disability Coordinator with various disability claims and wellness programs.
Maintain accurate records and filing systems.
Ensure confidentiality of employee information.
Support audits, reporting, and data validation activities as required.
Assists the Senior Manager, Pension, Benefits and Wellness with various projects, as assigned and performs other duties, as required.

Key Qualifications And Demonstrated Abilities

Three (3) + years’ experience in working in benefits administration.
Sound knowledge of company benefits programs.
Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of MS Office.
Excellent attention to detail and consistently high level of accuracy.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; verbal, written and presentation.
Demonstrated strong customer service skills.
Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a highly confidential environment.
Exemplifies Arbor’s values of integrity, trust, teamwork and excellence.
