Original job description

Department: Merchandise Planning & Allocations

Reports to: Manager, Allocations

Location: North Vancouver, BC

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As an Allocations Coordinator, you play an integral part of the sales and distribution process, working alongside Wholesale Territory Managers, Brand Store and Factory Outlet teams. You work cross-functionally with our internal operational, commercial, and merchant teams to ensure your assigned doors have the right product at the right time so that they can deliver an exceptional guest experience.

This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Merchandise Planning & Allocation team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks by finding the balance between the right product, at the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time.

If you were the Allocations Coordinator now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

Acquiring a broad knowledge of order book management processes across all customer groups
Monitoring allocation, delays and risks related to order deliveries for your assigned doors, creating ad-hoc reports for stakeholders as required
Proactively managing the order book fulfillment process; ensuring order releases are accurate, timely, and delivered according to the customer requirements
Acting as the hub for communication between the retail store teams, wholesale customers, territory managers, and internal operational teams, building close relationships and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned
Providing exceptional support and prompt responses to our guest-facing teams in your assigned doors
Supporting various departmental initiatives, including providing mentorship to new allocations team members
Identifying issues and gaps in process and supporting the team to help find resolutions
Supporting the weekly replenishment process and store supply ordering process for your assigned doors
Constantly seeking opportunities to improve processes or better support sales and sell-through
You may be required to travel occasionally for store visits
Acquiring a working knowledge of Arc’teryx products and technologies
Supporting the team with additional tasks as required to help achieve company objectives
Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

Assisting in driving sales initiatives and programs
Identifying and highlighting any concerns in inventory levels as soon as discovered and investigating into options to solve the problem
Helping to identify regional shortages and overages for the Open To Buy process
Creating stock transfer orders according to seasonal product flow plans and managing them through to delivery at your assigned Brand Stores and Factory Outlets
Liaising with the warehouse, stores and merchandising teams to help coordinate smooth integration of replenishment and seasonal product drops

Are you our next Allocations Coordinator?

You have 1+ year in a Customer Service, Retail Management, or Allocations role
You have highly effective verbal and written communication skills
You are proactive and comfortable communicating with customers via phone and email
You have strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
You demonstrate attention to detail, including accurate data entry skills
You are proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment
Your passion for your work is paralleled by your passion for getting outside and living it

Total Rewards

Most new team members join between the start and midpoint of the range, where you can contribute right away while continuing to grow your craft, your collaborations, and your impact at Arc’teryx. This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.

We’re committed to fair, equitable, and competitive pay, reviewed regularly to ensure internal alignment and market relevance. Transparency is part of how we follow through on our commitments and how we honour the value you bring to our team.

In addition to base pay, Arc’teryx supports people through benefits designed to sustain both work and life:

Health & wellbeing - Extended health, dental, and vision coverage, including mental health support, fertility benefits, gender-affirming care and a 24/7 Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
Financial wellbeing - RRSP matching and eligibility for Arc'teryx Annual Incentive Plan and access to Employee Stock Purchase program (ESPP) where applicable.
Time & Flexibility - Paid time off, wellness time, and No Wasted Day program (dedicated paid days to get outside & explore).
Family support - Parental leave top-up and a nesting period for new parents.
Growth, community & gear - Professional development opportunities, Arc'teryx Academies (outdoor skill-building events), Employee Belonging Councils, and access to employee discounts and Pro Deals (exclusive discounted pricing on gear).
*Eligibility for certain programs may vary by role.

Equal Opportunity

Arc’teryx is committed to actively creating and fostering a culture of inclusivity where voices are heard, people are seen, and values are respected. We care about the uniqueness of our applicants, employees, and guests, and we do so in a safe space fueled by curiosity and acceptance.

Creating an inclusive workplace is connected to our core value Do Right while also having the added benefit of helping make our business better. We believe inclusion helps us to create a healthier, happier workplace, drive creativity and innovation, and reflect the communities where we operate.

All applicants, employees, and guests can expect equality of opportunity and fair treatment in alignment with our values.

Leave it Better

We believe that the mountains transform us, that how we adventure matters, and that there’s always a better way.

Join us in creating positive change in ourselves, our communities, and the world.

Live it. Get out there - the mountains make us better
Disruptive evolution. In pursuit of better. Always.
Commit. We set bold objectives and see them through.

A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$62,000 - USD$77,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
