Original job description

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Facilities Coordinator at Arc’One, you will help keep our manufacturing, distribution, and office environments safe, clean, organized, and ready for daily operations. This is a hands-on role that combines practical maintenance tasks with coordination, problem-solving, and responsive service to our teams.
From building production furniture and completing minor repairs to coordinating cleaning services and setting up events, you will take pride in keeping our spaces up to standard. You bring a flexible, service-minded approach: no job is too big or too small. You are ready to pitch in, work safely within your training, and coordinate the right support when a task requires additional expertise.

This role is based out of Arc’One in New Westminster and is expected to be performed on-location.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Facilities & Workplace Experience team supports the people, spaces, and services that keep Arc’One running. You will work with Facilities, Manufacturing, Distribution, Maintenance, Health & Safety, and office teams, as well as porters, cleaners, suppliers, and service representatives. Together, we respond to everyday needs and improve the workplace for employees and guests.

If you were in the coordinator role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Completing day-to-day facilities tasks, minor repairs, and general upkeep across production areas, distribution spaces, offices, lunchrooms, washrooms, and shared areas.

  • Building, assembling, repairing, and modifying production furniture, workstations, shelving, tables, and other workplace fixtures to meet operational needs.

  • Supporting furniture moves, workstation changes, space reconfigurations, and production line setups in coordination with the relevant teams.

  • Walking the facility regularly to identify maintenance needs, housekeeping concerns, damage, and hazards. Resolving issues within your scope and escalating those requiring specialist support.

  • Coordinating with porters and the cleaning team on daily priorities, supply needs, deep cleaning, and follow-up so shared spaces consistently meet cleanliness standards.

  • Setting up and taking down events, meetings, and employee activities, including furniture, supplies, signage, and room arrangements. Helping return spaces to normal use afterward.

  •  Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and service representatives to arrange visits, obtain quotes, order materials, coordinate access, and follow up on service work.

  • Receiving deliveries, organizing tools and facilities supplies, and maintaining stock of commonly used materials and consumables.

  • Responding to facilities requests, keeping work orders and service records current, communicating progress, and following tasks through to completion.

  • Supporting scheduled maintenance and inspections by preparing work areas, coordinating access, and assisting the Facilities and Maintenance teams as directed.

  • Maintaining clear walkways, exits, and access to building equipment. Reporting safety concerns promptly and following site procedures when completing work.

  • Supporting waste sorting, recycling, and other workplace improvement initiatives. Taking on other facilities tasks as priorities change to keep the site operating to standard.

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Helping improve how facilities requests, supplies, and recurring tasks are organized and tracked.

  • Supporting workplace refreshes, production furniture improvements, and changes to shared spaces.

  • Developing your maintenance and coordination skills through training and experience with the team.

Are you our next Facilities and Workplace Experience Coordinator?

  • You have practical experience in facilities support, general maintenance, furniture assembly, construction, or a similar hands-on role. Experience in manufacturing or distribution is an asset.

  • You are comfortable using hand and power tools and can assemble, repair, and adjust furniture and fixtures with care and attention to quality.

  • You take pride in clean, organized, well-maintained spaces and notice the small details that affect how a workplace functions.

  • You are approachable and service-minded, with clear communication skills and the ability to work respectfully with employees, contractors, and service providers.

  •  You can organize competing requests, adapt to changing priorities, and balance planned work with urgent day-to-day needs.

  • You take initiative, solve practical problems, and follow through on commitments while knowing when to ask for help or escalate an issue.

  • You work effectively independently and as part of a team, and are willing to pitch in wherever facilities support is needed.

  • You can use email and basic digital tools to track requests, order supplies, and maintain accurate records.

  • You can carry out the physical duties of the role, including standing, walking, bending, moving furniture, and handling materials, using safe work practices and appropriate equipment.

  • You follow safety procedures and complete tasks within your training and authorization. Relevant trade, maintenance, or equipment training is an asset.

Compensation:The salary range of the role is CAD$53,000 - CAD$69,000
