Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Vice President, Global Consumer Data & Insights, you are a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the Brand Leadership team and to the Enterprise organization, shaping the future of the Arc’teryx brand through deep consumer understanding and insight-led strategy. You will define and lead the company’s Consumer Insights vision, ensuring the voice of the consumer is embedded at the core of brand and business strategy, decision making and long-term growth. In this role you influence critical business and brand decisions through compelling storytelling and foresight, translating complex data into clear direction for senior leaders.

Acting as a catalyst for a consumer-first culture, you lead the growth of the company’s insights capabilities, operating models, and tools while building a high-performing global team. You also champion innovation in how the organization anticipates and responds to shifting consumer behaviors, ensuring the brand remains culturally relevant and positioned for sustained growth.

Ideally this role is based out of our North Vancouver office.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Brand team is the direct connection between the guest and the core intention of the Arc’teryx brand. Leveraging an increasingly robust set of consumer insights, we specialize in storytelling and creating incredible experiences that connect people to the transformative power of the mountains. Our functions include enterprise strategy, brand marketing and creative, athletes/ambassador's programs, community, experiences, operations, communications, regional teams, and agency partners. This team is comprised of global HQ and regional offices who aim to become the voice of the consumer within the organization. You will work in close partnership with functional leaders across channels and regions to bring added value to the business during this high growth era.

You and your team will also support wider executive leadership, aggregating data from commercial, product and business partners to derive insights that inform the enterprise growth strategy.\nIf you were in the VP, Global Consumer Data & Insights role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

Setting the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the global Consumer Insights function, strengthening brand equity, distinctiveness, and consumer connection while ensuring alignment to brand positioning, growth priorities, and long-term strategy
Serving as the enterprise leader and trusted advisor for consumer insights, embedding a consumer-first operating model and insight-led perspectives that shape executive decisions, strategic planning, and innovation across all functions, regions, and business units.
Building, leading, and developing a high-performing global Consumer Insights team, including organizational design, capability building, and succession planning
Translating complex, multi-source data into clear narratives and lead the evolution of advanced analytics, including predictive, prescriptive, and AI-driven approaches, next-gen measurement, and marketing effectiveness/ROI tools, to drive measurable business outcomes
Designing and scaling a global insights operating model and enterprise frameworks - tools, platforms, KPIs, and standardized methodologies - and build strategic external partnerships (agencies, data providers, industry experts) to democratize access and ensure best-in-class capability
Leading consumer segmentation and consolidate data and insights systems across the enterprise (with focus on product, channel, and regional data), anticipating emerging consumer behaviors and market dynamics to unlock acquisition, retention, and growth opportunities

Future-proofing the Brand by embedding predictive foresight and scenario planning, enabling the organization to anticipate disruption, stay ahead of shifting consumer expectations, and unlock long-term brand growth opportunities

Are you our next VP, Global Consumer Data & Insights?

You have 15+ years of progressive experience across brand, consumer insights, and strategy functions, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and proven capability building consumer insights strategies and frameworks
You have demonstrated success influencing executive leadership, translating insights into brand strategy, positioning, and global brand-building initiatives that drive equity and long-term growth
You have strong analytical and technical fluency, including advanced analytics, predictive modeling, AI-driven insights, and consumer data ingestion, integration, and governance across a multi-market environment
You have an exceptional ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders and drive action
You are a proven people leader who sets clear vision, aligns global teams and cross-functional partners, and builds high-performing, diverse organizations within a complex matrix environment.
Your knowledge of technical apparel, outdoor, performance, or premium lifestyle categories, with in-depth understanding of the outdoor industry and the consumer culture Arc'teryx targets

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is USD$224,000 - USD$336,000
