Company Description Archetype Design and Construction is a Toronto area contractor specializing in construction, home design, remodeling, and home repair services. The company focuses on delivering quality residential projects, from initial design concepts through final completion. Archetype Design and Construction works closely with clients to create functional, modern spaces tailored to their needs. The team emphasizes craftsmanship, reliability, and clear communication throughout each phase of a project.

Role Description The Assistant Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Toronto, ON, supporting the successful planning and execution of residential construction and remodeling projects. This role coordinates daily project activities, including scheduling, communicating with subcontractors and vendors, and tracking progress against timelines and budgets. Responsibilities include assisting with permit and inspection processes, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time. The Assistant Project Manager will collaborate closely with the Project Manager and site teams to address issues, maintain safety and quality standards, and keep clients informed of project status. The role requires consistent on-site presence to monitor work, support logistics, and help manage day-to-day operations.

Qualifications

Strong project support and coordination skills, including Project Management and Logistics Management experience.
Ability to manage permitting and regulatory processes using Expeditor and Expediting skills.
Knowledge of construction site procedures and quality standards, with experience in Inspection activities.
Understanding of residential construction, remodeling, and home repair practices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, trades, and internal teams.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Proficiency with project management software, spreadsheets, and digital documentation tools.
Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred.
Ability to work on-site in Toronto, ON, with flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.
Must own a car and valid G license
