Original job description

You've sold technology to cities. Now help change how cities work.

Archistar is looking for an exceptional Regional Sales Director – Government Solutions to help drive our continued growth across Canada.

We're looking for an experienced GovTech sales professional who understands the Canadian municipal market, the people, procurement environment, challenges cities face and what it takes to build trusted, long-term government relationships.

If you've built your career selling permitting, land management, planning, GIS, civic technology, digital government or enterprise SaaS solutions to municipalities, we'd like to talk.

Why this opportunity is different

Archistar is at the forefront of applying AI to one of the biggest challenges facing cities today - modernising planning and building approvals and helping communities get housing and development moving faster.

Our world-leading AI PreCheck technology helps municipalities improve the quality of applications entering the permitting process, assess planning and building requirements earlier and create better experiences for government teams, applicants and communities.

Our technology is already being used by municipalities across Canada and internationally, and we're continuing to grow our Canadian team and presence.

Now is a great time to join Archistar as we continue to grow our footprint across Canada.

The opportunity

As Regional Sales Director, you'll own new government business across your territory and play an important role in building Archistar's presence in the Canadian GovTech market.

This is a senior individual contributor role with significant autonomy. You'll personally develop opportunities, build strategic relationships and lead complex municipal technology sales from first conversation through procurement and contract.

What you'll do

Build and execute a territory strategy across Canadian local government.
Create and develop a strong pipeline of new municipal opportunities.
Build trusted relationships with CIOs, Chief Building Officials, planning and development leaders, permitting teams, procurement executives and other government stakeholders.
Identify municipalities looking to modernise planning, permitting and development approvals.
Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from initial engagement and discovery through demonstrations, business cases, procurement and contract.
Navigate RFPs, RFQs, public-sector procurement and multi-stakeholder decision-making.
Develop strategic relationships across the Canadian municipal and GovTech ecosystem.
Work closely with our Government Solutions, Customer, Product, Technology and Marketing teams to turn opportunities into successful long-term partnerships.
Represent Archistar at government, municipal and industry events.
Bring market intelligence and customer insight into the business as we continue to evolve our technology for Canadian municipalities.
Own your pipeline, forecasting and revenue performance.

What we're looking for

You already know this market.

You've sold enterprise technology into Canadian municipalities and understand that successful government partnerships are built on credibility, relationships, persistence and trust.

Ideally, you'll bring:

7+ years' enterprise SaaS or technology sales experience.
A strong track record selling into Canadian municipalities or the broader public sector.
Established relationships within the Canadian municipal or GovTech ecosystem.
Demonstrated success creating pipeline and winning new government customers.
Experience leading complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales.
Strong knowledge of RFPs, RFQs and public-sector procurement.
A history of achieving or exceeding significant sales targets.
Confidence engaging everyone from CIOs and government executives to operational and technical leaders.
The ability to translate sophisticated technology into a clear and compelling business case.
Strong commercial, presentation and negotiation skills.

Experience selling permitting, planning, land management, building approvals, GIS, regulatory technology, civic technology or digital government solutions would be highly regarded.

You'll thrive at Archistar if you...

Enjoy opening doors and building markets.
Genuinely care about your customers and the outcomes they're trying to achieve.
Understand that our government customers are there to serve their communities - and see our role as helping them do that as successfully as possible.
Can navigate complex organisations, bring people together and build consensus around change.
Are excited about translating world-leading AI technology into practical outcomes that government leaders and their teams can understand and trust.
Enjoy being part of a motivated, collaborative team where people work together to get things done.

Why Archistar?

Work at the forefront of using AI to transform planning, permitting and building approvals.
Local People. Global Expertise.
Join our growing Canadian team while working alongside leading specialists in AI, planning, government, product and technology from around the world. Our local and international teams work together with a shared goal: building great technology for Canada and helping our Canadian customers succeed.

Our municipal customers serve their communities, and we're here to help them do that as successfully as possible. We listen, understand their challenges, deliver on our commitments and take genuine pride in their success.
Help make an impact on housing
Work with municipalities to modernise permitting and approvals and contribute to tackling one of Canada's most important challenges - getting housing and development moving faster.
Join us at the right time
Our team and customer footprint are growing substantially across Canada. This is an opportunity to join at an exciting stage, help shape our Canadian growth and make a visible impact.
A team you'll enjoy being part of
We're ambitious, motivated, collaborative and like getting things done. You'll work closely with Government Solutions, Customer, Product, Technology, AI and Marketing - you're never selling alone.
Be rewarded for your impact
Competitive base salary + commission, with equity opportunities available for the right candidate.
Comprehensive benefits
Health, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, long-term disability coverage and paid time off.

Ready to make an impact? Apply Now!

If you've built your career selling technology to Canadian municipalities and want to combine that experience with world-leading AI technology, deep global expertise and a growing Canadian team, we'd love to hear from you.

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your experience and interest in the role.

Bring your knowledge of Canadian GovTech, your relationships and your passion for customers. We'll bring the technology, expertise and team behind you.

Together, we can help cities modernise permitting, support the delivery of more housing and deliver better outcomes for Canadian communities.
