About ArcLinx

ArcLinx Technology designs, deploys, and manages enterprise Wi-Fi and network infrastructure for Canada's most demanding environments: hospitals, airports, stadiums, campuses, hotels, and carrier networks. We are vendor-neutral by design, and every engagement is delivered by certified engineers. We believe most Wi-Fi problems are design problems, and we're building a team that solves them properly.

Who you are

You are a business development professional who sells outcomes, not boxes. You build trust with IT leaders, facilities teams, and executives, and you turn it into long-term partnerships. You understand that enterprise wireless is a considered purchase, often involving procurement, capital planning, and many stakeholders, and you know how to guide an opportunity through that process with patience and discipline.

You are curious about technology and can hold a credible first conversation about coverage, capacity, and network reliability. You know when to bring in engineering. You work best in an environment where your work directly shapes how a company grows.

The role

As ArcLinx's first dedicated business development leader, you will own new client acquisition and strategic partnerships across our target markets. You will work closely with the founder, sales engineering, and delivery to find opportunities, qualify them, and win them. These include site surveys, design and deployment projects, network audits, and recurring managed services.

You will also help build ArcLinx's commercial foundation: our pipeline process, partner ecosystem, proposal standards, and market presence. This role directly shapes the company's revenue growth, client mix, and reputation in the Canadian enterprise wireless market.

What you'll do

Market development & prospecting

Build and manage a qualified pipeline across healthcare, education, transportation, venues, hospitality, retail and warehouse, and commercial real estate.
Identify and engage decision-makers, including CIOs, IT directors, network managers, facilities and capital-projects leaders, and property managers.
Research target accounts, map organizational structures, and develop account plans for strategic clients.
Monitor public-sector opportunities through BC Bid, MERX, and health authority and post-secondary procurement portals.
Run targeted outreach campaigns with marketing support, including email, LinkedIn, events, and referrals.

Sales execution

Lead opportunities from first contact through discovery, proposal, negotiation, and close.
Qualify opportunities rigorously on budget, authority, need, timeline, and technical fit before engaging engineering resources.
Partner with the Sales Engineer to scope solutions, develop proposals, and present to client stakeholders.
Coordinate RFP and RFQ responses, including compliance matrices, pricing, commercial terms, and references.
Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and SLAs that protect margin and delivery quality.
Position ArcLinx's managed Wi-Fi tiers (Essentials, Professional, and Mission-Critical) to build recurring revenue.

Partnerships & channel development

Develop subcontract and teaming relationships with carriers, MSPs, structured-cabling contractors, electrical contractors, and general contractors.
Build relationships with vendor channel teams (Cisco, Aruba/HPE, Juniper Mist, Meraki, and others) to access co-selling opportunities and deal registration.
Grow ArcLinx's national partner network across BC, Alberta.

Account management & growth

Maintain relationships with existing clients and identify expansion opportunities, such as new sites, upgrades, RTLS, security, and managed services.
Ensure a smooth handover from sale to delivery by setting accurate client expectations with project managers and engineers.
Collect client feedback, references, and case study material.

Business operations & reporting

Keep the CRM accurate and current, covering contacts, activities, opportunities, and forecasts.
Report on pipeline health, forecast accuracy, win/loss, and market trends.
Help develop sales collateral, pricing models, proposal templates, and go-to-market strategy.
Represent ArcLinx at industry events, trade associations, and vendor partner functions.

What you bring

5+ years of B2B technology sales or business development in networking, telecommunications, IT services, systems integration, or building technology.
A proven record of meeting or exceeding targets in a consultative, services-led sales role.
Experience selling professional services and recurring managed-service contracts.
Established relationships in BC healthcare, public sector, education, or commercial real estate.
Experience with public-sector procurement, RFP processes, and multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
Strong business acumen, and comfort discussing ROI, total cost of ownership, and capital versus operating models.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Self-directed and organized, with the drive to build process at a growing firm.
Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and industry events.

Nice to have

Working knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN, and network security concepts.
Experience with a systems integrator, VAR, MSP, carrier, or technology consulting firm.
Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
Vendor sales accreditations (Cisco, Aruba/HPE, Juniper, Meraki).

Compensation & benefits

Base salary of $100,000 – $120,000 CAD per year, depending on experience and established client relationships.
Uncapped commission on new bookings and recurring managed-service revenue, with expected on-target earnings of $140,000 – $180,000 CAD in the first full year.
Commission paid on gross margin, with an ongoing share of recurring managed-service contracts you bring in.
