Original job description
Our client, an established nuclear services and engineering business, is seeking a Technical Project Director to lead and deliver technical work.
In this role, you will be the technical authority, personally delivering engineering scopes for clients, bringing in partners and subcontractors where larger work requires it, and contributing technical input to bids and proposals. You will also help shape the standards and delivery approach for your practice. Commercial and business development will be led by the leadership team, so you can focus on technical delivery, with a clear path to take on commercial ownership and team leadership as the practice grows.
This is a genuine step up for a Senior, Principal or Manager-level engineer who wants the autonomy and visibility of a director-level role without carrying a sales target from day one. It offers the chance to build something new within a lean, collaborative business where good ideas move quickly.
Backgrounds in fire protection engineering, mechanical or product design, probabilistic risk assessment and nuclear safety and licensing are especially relevant. The ideal candidate is a credible, hands-on subject matter expert with experience relevant to the Canadian nuclear sector and a background in regulated, high-consequence environments.
If you are ready to step up your career, apply today.
