Original job description

About Argus
For more than 50 years, Kelowna-based Argus has been developing, managing and hosting across British Columbia, from commercial and residential real estate to Eldorado Resort, Four Points by Sheraton, Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites. We are a team that values respect, honest communication, career growth and work-life balance, and we welcome people of all backgrounds. Come build something lasting with us.

Position Summary

This is not a traditional assistant role. Argus Properties is looking for a tech-forward Executive / Legal Assistant to bring modern AI tools into our executive office and keep our senior leadership team moving. Reporting to the Managing Director and working alongside our current Executive Assistant, you will handle complex legal documents, scheduling, and travel, with a front-row seat to a growing development, property management and hospitality organization in the Okanagan.

Who You Are

You bring a great attitude and take ownership. You use AI every day, know how to get useful results from it, and always check the output. Complex agreements, leases, and contracts do not intimidate you, and you know when something belongs with legal counsel. You are discreet, calm under competing priorities, and ready to grow with the role.

What You Will Do

Draft, format, and proofread complex business and legal documents for review by the executive team or legal counsel.
Use company-approved AI tools to draft, summarize, compare versions, and flag key terms and deadlines, verifying all output before it is shared.
Manage executive calendars, coordinate meetings, and prepare agendas, briefing materials, and follow-ups.
Plan and book executive travel, handle changes calmly, and reconcile expenses.
Partner with the Executive Assistant to share workload, provide coverage, and introduce AI-assisted workflows.
Find smarter ways to work and take on new projects as the role grows

What You Bring

Three or more years in an administrative, executive support, legal, or similar role.
Hands-on experience with complex legal documents such as contracts, leases, or corporate records.
A diploma in office or legal administration, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Advanced Microsoft 365 skills and strong, practical experience with generative AI tools.
Excellent communication, sharp attention to detail, and sound judgment with confidential information.
Real estate, property management, or hospitality experience is an asset.

Why You Will Want to Join Us

Work directly with senior leaders and see how decisions are made across a diverse real estate and hospitality portfolio.
Be the person who shapes how AI is used in our executive office.
Grow your skills and responsibilities in a role designed to evolve.
Join a collaborative head office team in Kelowna.

Salary Range $68,000-$78,000
