About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Dock Worker to join our Courier team. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient movement of freight within our terminal, supporting on-time deliveries and overall operational success.
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3am to 12pm

About the Role:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Dock Worker to join our Courier team. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient movement of freight within our terminal, supporting on-time deliveries and overall operational success.
Location: Dartmouth, NS
Schedule: Monday to Friday from 3am to 12pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload freight from trailers in a safe and efficient manner
- Sort, stage and organize shipments within the dock area
- Use of scanners and paperwork
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks)
- Verify shipment accuracy and report any damages or discrepancies
- Maintain clean and organized work environment
- Attend in-house training sessions as required (e.g. dangerous goods, WHMIS, etc.)
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet deadlines
- Forklift certification is an asset
- A willingness to work, dependability & a good attitude
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Ability to lift perform heavy lifting on a regular basis
- Willingness to work in warehouse conditions with possible high noise levels and varying temperatures (dependent on weather)

Responsibilities
Load, unload, sort, stage, and organize freight while using scanners, paperwork, and material-handling equipment. Verify shipments, report damage or discrepancies, maintain a clean and safe dock, and work with the team to meet deadlines.
Requirements
Candidates should be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding warehouse environment, including regular heavy lifting and variable temperatures. Forklift certification is an asset; reliable transportation, safety footwear, and a clean criminal background are also required.
