Description
Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Highway Driver based out of Fredericton, NB.This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent highway work and a predictable schedule. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, transporting freight through the Fredericton highway and a designated terminal and customer locations.
What You'll Do
- Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner.
- Complete scheduled highway runs in designated terminal and customer locations.
- Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers.
What You’ll Need
- Valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Minimum 2 years previous tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic.
- Experience with freight handling and scanning equipment is an asset.
