Armour Transportation Systems is currently seeking a professional and safety-focused Highway Driver based out of Fredericton, NB.This position is ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent highway work and a predictable schedule. Drivers will operate a tractor-trailer on a dedicated day run, transporting freight through the Fredericton highway and a designated terminal and customer locations.

What You'll Do
- Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer in a safe and professional manner.
- Complete scheduled highway runs in designated terminal and customer locations.
- Ensure on-time pickup and delivery of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation documentation.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel and customers.
- Valid Class 1 driver's license.
- Minimum 2 years previous tractor-trailer experience.
- Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic.
- Experience with freight handling and scanning equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities
Operate a Class 1 tractor-trailer on scheduled highway runs, transporting freight and ensuring timely pickups and deliveries. Perform vehicle inspections, maintain accurate logs and transportation documents, follow safety and regulatory requirements, and communicate with dispatch, terminal staff, and customers.
Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 driver's license, have at least two years of tractor-trailer experience, and provide a clean driver's abstract and criminal record check. They should know local and regional routes, demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and customer service, and be reliable and able to work independently; freight handling and scanning experience is an asset.
