Position Overview: The Inside Sales Representative supports business growth within our transportation and logistics team by maintaining customer relationships and identifying new sales opportunities. This individual-contributor role combines phone-based prospecting, follow-up, and day-to-day account support.

Working with an established portfolio of customers, the representative follows a structured sales plan to retain business, identify opportunities to grow accounts, and reach new customers through outbound calls. The position suits someone who enjoys building relationships, is comfortable with cold calling, and can work consistently toward measurable goals.

Location: Moncton, NB or Dartmouth, NS

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000

Benefits: Health & Dental | RRSP Employer Matching up to 4%

Responsibilities

Maintain regular contact with an established customer portfolio to understand transportation needs and support customer retention.
Make outbound prospecting and cold calls to introduce services and identify potential customers.
Follow up on leads and customer conversations to move sales opportunities forward.
Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts by matching customer needs with available services.
Explain service options clearly and respond to customer questions using knowledge gained through training.
Follow the established sales plan and work toward assigned activity, retention, and sales goals.
Keep customer information, sales activity, and follow-up actions current in company systems.
Coordinate with internal teams to address customer inquiries and support a consistent customer experience.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in customer service, sales, or another customer-facing role is an asset.
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable phone manner.
Comfort making outbound calls, starting conversations with new customers, and handling objections professionally.
Strong listening and relationship-building skills, with a customer-focused approach.
Good organization and follow-through, including the ability to manage multiple customer conversations and priorities.
Comfort using computers and learning customer management and sales systems.
Willingness to follow a structured sales process, work toward measurable goals, and apply coaching and feedback.
Interest in developing a career in transportation and logistics; industry experience is an asset but is not required.

Training & Career Development

Extensive onboarding and training will help the successful candidate build knowledge of our business, transportation services, systems, and sales processes. The role provides an opportunity to develop sales and account management skills, with a potential pathway into higher-level sales and account management positions over time.
