What You'll Do
- Operate a straight truck in a safe and professional manner.
- Complete scheduled pickups and deliveries within the city and surrounding regions.
- Load, unload, and handle freight safely and efficiently when required.
- Verify shipment details and ensure accurate completion of transportation documentation.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Use handheld scanners and mobile devices to track freight movement.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required transportation records.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety standards, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, terminal personnel, and customers.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license with Air Brake Endorsement (or equivalent licensing required for the assigned vehicle).
- Clean driver's abstract and criminal record check.
- Previous commercial driving experience is considered an asset.
- Strong knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Ability to safely lift, move, and handle freight when required.
- Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Experience with freight handling, scanning equipment, and electronic devices is an asset.
- Reliable, professional, and dependable work ethic.

Responsibilities
