Are you ready to drive growth and build meaningful relationships in the insurance industry? Special Risk Insurance Managers Ltd. is seeking an energetic and results-driven Business Development Representative to expand our market presence across Western Canada.

Reporting to our Chief Commercial Officer, you'll be responsible for prospecting and acquiring profitable insurance business through the broker distribution channel while nurturing existing relationships with our valued broker partners and SRIM business partners.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Include the following:

Prospect, identify and build profitable insurance business within the broker distribution channel.
Effectively onboard new brokers and provide exceptional ongoing care to your existing portfolio.
Provide training on SRIM’s Portals, identify new portal product opportunities, and liaise between SRIM Underwriting and external developers in the creation of new portal products.
Drive GWP and user growth on SRIM’s Portals
Actively collaborate with internal departments, peers and colleagues to leverage areas of expertise that will enhance relationships with our broker partners and support their business growth.
Direct development of both existing and new client relationships through targeted prospecting and sales programs including digital marketing activities to acquire new customers and sales channels.
Drive revenue by delivering compelling presentations and delivery of information to new and existing brokers, associations, and other opportunities.
Monitor industry trends to identify and develop new sales and business opportunities.
Support Underwriters by attending broker meetings or events alongside them to provide complementary support.
Assist in the creation of eblast content and website improvements.
Travel to and attendance at various industry and networking events is an integral part of this role both locally and across Canada.
Work collaboratively within a dynamic team structure.
Other duties as assigned.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATION

Level II License; or CIP Designation preferred.
Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
This position requires routine or periodic travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.

Pay Range

60000 - 90000 Annual

Actual salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and work location. Package may include base pay, commissions, and/or bonuses.
