Original job description

Co-Founder – Growth, Strategy & Leadership
Company: Asellera Inc.
Location: Greater Toronto Area, Ontario (Hybrid / Flexible)
Position Type: Co-Founder | Executive Leadership
Compensation: Equity-Based | Long-Term Ownership
About Asellera
Great companies are built by people who share a vision, challenge what is possible, and possess the determination to turn ambition into reality.
Asellera is an emerging Canadian AI healthcare technology company on a mission to transform how healthcare practices operate.
We are developing an intelligent operational platform that helps healthcare providers reduce administrative burdens, strengthen patient relationships, improve operational efficiency, and unlock new opportunities for growth.
Our vision extends beyond automating individual tasks. We believe artificial intelligence has the potential to fundamentally reshape healthcare operations, creating a more efficient, accessible, and connected healthcare ecosystem.
With our technical foundations established, we are entering an important stage of our journey: accelerating commercialization, expanding our market presence, and building the foundations for sustainable, long-term growth.
We are seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial individual to join our founding leadership team and help shape the next chapter of Asellera.
The Opportunity
We are looking for more than an executive. We are looking for a builder, a strategic thinker, and a leader who is motivated by the opportunity to create something meaningful.
As Co-Founder, you will work directly alongside our Founder & CEO and technical leadership to shape Asellera’s commercial strategy, accelerate growth, establish strategic partnerships, and develop a high-performing organization.
This opportunity is suited to someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, embraces responsibility, and understands that meaningful achievements require vision, discipline, resilience, and consistent execution.
You will play an integral role in determining how Asellera grows, competes, and establishes itself within the healthcare technology industry.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Business Development
* Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market and revenue growth strategies.
* Identify and pursue opportunities for customer acquisition, market expansion, and strategic partnerships.
* Establish relationships with healthcare professionals, clinic owners, industry executives, and potential partners.
* Build scalable sales processes, commercial systems, and revenue-generating initiatives.
* Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
* Establish measurable growth objectives and take ownership of commercial performance.
Strategic Leadership & Company Development
* Collaborate with the founding team on long-term vision, strategic priorities, and organizational direction.
* Contribute to business planning, market positioning, pricing strategies, and expansion initiatives.
* Support fundraising preparation, investor engagement, and strategic business relationships.
* Identify operational challenges and develop practical, scalable solutions.
* Translate long-term objectives into actionable initiatives and measurable milestones.
* Participate in critical decisions that influence the company’s development and future.
Team Building & Organizational Growth
* Help recruit, mentor, and develop high-performing commercial teams.
* Establish a culture of accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
* Inspire and empower team members to achieve individual and collective objectives.
* Develop leadership capabilities across the organization.
* Implement processes and performance frameworks that support sustainable growth.
* Lead by example through initiative, professionalism, and consistent execution.
Execution & Ownership
* Take responsibility for strategic initiatives from planning through implementation.
* Navigate uncertainty with sound judgment, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
* Identify opportunities for improvement and proactively implement solutions.
* Represent Asellera professionally at industry events, conferences, and partnership meetings.
* Maintain a strong commitment to delivering measurable results and advancing the company’s mission.
Qualifications & Experience
We are seeking an individual who combines entrepreneurial ambition with strong leadership potential and the ability to execute.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in business development, B2B sales, SaaS, commercial strategy, entrepreneurship, or organizational leadership.
* Demonstrated ability to develop business relationships and drive measurable growth.
* Strong communication, negotiation, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience developing strategies, leading initiatives, or managing teams.
* Understanding of startup environments, technology businesses, or scalable business models.
* Interest in artificial intelligence, healthcare technology, and digital transformation.
Previous founder experience and familiarity with healthcare technology are considered assets but are not required.
Leadership Qualities We Value
Entrepreneurial Mindset
You recognize opportunities, challenge conventional thinking, and are motivated to build something from the ground up.
Growth Orientation
You actively pursue personal and professional development, embrace constructive feedback, and continuously seek opportunities to improve.
Leadership & Emotional Intelligence
You understand that effective leadership involves building trust, empowering others, communicating with clarity, and creating an environment where people can succeed.
Resilience & Adaptability
You remain focused through challenges, respond constructively to setbacks, and understand that meaningful progress requires perseverance.
Ownership & Accountability
You take responsibility for outcomes, follow through on commitments, and approach challenges with initiative rather than waiting for direction.
Integrity & Purpose
You believe that sustainable success is built through ethical leadership, strong relationships, and a commitment to creating meaningful value.
What We Offer
* Equity Ownership: An opportunity to earn meaningful ownership in Asellera, subject to mutually agreed terms and vesting.
* Executive Leadership: Direct involvement in strategic decision-making, commercial growth, and organizational development.
* Professional Growth: The opportunity to develop as an entrepreneur, executive, and business leader while building an emerging technology company.
* Strategic Influence: A meaningful voice in shaping the company’s direction, culture, and long-term objectives.
* Industry Impact: The opportunity to help advance technologies that improve healthcare operations and patient experiences.
* Long-Term Potential: The opportunity to grow into an enduring leadership position as Asellera scales.
This is an early-stage, equity-based co-founder opportunity without a guaranteed base salary. Equity participation, vesting arrangements, responsibilities, and commitment expectations will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
Our Philosophy
We believe that exceptional companies are built through a combination of vision, disciplined execution, strong leadership, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Entrepreneurship is rarely a linear journey. It requires the willingness to embrace uncertainty, learn from setbacks, adapt to changing circumstances, and remain committed to long-term objectives.
We value individuals who recognize that leadership is not defined solely by authority or position, but by the ability to inspire others, take responsibility, and create opportunities for collective success.
At Asellera, our ambition is not simply to build a successful technology company. It is to establish an organization recognized for innovation, integrity, exceptional leadership, and meaningful contributions to healthcare.
We are looking for someone who shares these values and is prepared to contribute the dedication, initiative, and perseverance necessary to turn an ambitious vision into a lasting enterprise.
How to Apply
Interested candidates are invited to apply through LinkedIn with their resume and a brief introduction addressing:
1. What motivates you to pursue a co-founder opportunity?
2. How would your experience and leadership abilities contribute to Asellera’s growth?
3. What does building a successful company mean to you?
We welcome individuals from diverse professional backgrounds who demonstrate exceptional initiative, leadership potential, and entrepreneurial ambition.
The opportunity is not simply to join a growing company, but to help shape what it becomes.

Building the Future of Intelligent Healthcare Operations.
