About the Role

We are seeking a Analyst, Engineering Services - Project Engineer to join our team at our Brantford, ON bakery. As a Project Engineer, you will be accountable for leading capital projects that improve manufacturing performance, operational reliability, and facility capabilities while ensuring safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution. This role plays a key part in delivering strategic investments that enhance production efficiency, reduce downtime, and support long-term plant growth.This role requires you to be onsite in Brantford, ON four days per week, giving you hands-on collaboration with the team and daily exposure to the pulse of the business.

Compensation

Salary Range: $62,000-$82,000

Core Accountabilities (What You’ll be Doing)

Lead capital engineering projects from feasibility through commissioning, ensuring safe, high-quality, and cost-effective project delivery.
Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and vendor performance to achieve business objectives.
Drive equipment and process improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
Develop and present capital expenditure requests (CERs) and project portfolio updates to stakeholders.
Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, and external partners to execute projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain engineering drawings, plant layouts, and technical documentation to support operational accuracy.
Ensure compliance with safety, food safety, sanitation, environmental, and regulatory requirements while overseeing contractor activities.

Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table) (Required to be considered)

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
Experience managing capital projects from concept through startup in a manufacturing environment.
Project management experience, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder management.
Knowledge of safety, food safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Project.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to travel up to 25% and support both Brantford and Ancaster facilities, including occasional off-shift or weekend work as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)

Experience within the food manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated success leading engineering or capital improvement projects in a manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment optimization.
Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational performance.
