Job Summary
AspiringIT is hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a leading nuclear engineering services client supporting Ontario's CANDU fleet.
What you'll do
- Lead mechanical design and engineering change packages for station systems and components
- Work on pressure-boundary equipment: piping, valves, pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels
- Prepare specifications, design calculations and stress/qualification reviews
- Support fabrication, field installation and site issue resolution
- Mentor and verify the work of junior engineers
What you bring
- Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience, ideally in nuclear or power generation
- P.Eng (PEO)
- CANDU design and engineering change experience
- Working knowledge of CSA N285.0, ASME Section III and CSA N286
- CAD/FEA tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS)
Nice to have
- Ontario refurbishment project experience
- CSA N299 supplier quality
- Welding and NDE knowledge
Must be eligible for nuclear site security clearance and export-control requirement

Candidates should know CSA N285.0, ASME Section III, and CSA N286, and be familiar with CAD/FEA tools; nuclear site security clearance and export-control eligibility are also required.
