The successful candidate will be responsible to provide technical support and training for ASSA ABLOY Entrance System PDS products, brands and competitive equipment. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to providing technical support, provide product feedback, support and auditing, installing and testing of door equipment and working closely with the R&D team. This position will require some travel around the US and Canada on occasion. The position sits in our Monroe NC corporate offices reporting our Manager of Product Support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Support field technicians, installers and contractors to provide training and guidance where needed
- Provide phone, on-line and documentation support
- Travel to support customers and train technicians
- Support special Sales and R&D projects
- Work closely with Quality and Part departments as needed
- Be AAADM certified trainer
Goals and Compliance
- Support individual & departmental goals
- Assist districts and service providers in a professional and proactive approach
- Participate in regular meetings & communicate with department supervisors on projects and activities to increase customer service and satisfaction
- Identify & document any required ASSA ABLOY Entrance Solutions compliance training for technicians and installers
- Ensure compliance with all established policies, procedures and regulatory codes and standards.
Requirements
- Significant service and technical skills and experience is required.
- Analytical skills are required.
- Excellent time management, ability to travel is required.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills and strong team approach to work environment.
- Product knowledge of Besam, Record, Stanley, Horton and other major manufactures products for Slide, Swing, Fold and Revolving doors
- Have the ability to work remotely without direct supervision on a regular basis
- Must be a self-motivated goal oriented individual
- Needs to be able to offer suggestions and ideas with a well thought out plan
- AAADM Certified inspector
