Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to support the day-to-day accounts payable function for a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor accounts, managing purchase orders, preparing payment runs, and assisting with month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, comfortable working with ERP systems, and eager to learn new technologies and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Process and code vendor invoices accurately and efficiently within the ERP system.
Match and validate invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation.
Manage both inventory and non-inventory purchase order transactions.
Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies in a timely manner.
Resolve invoice, purchase order, payment, and vendor account issues.
Prepare and process regular payment runs, including electronic payments and cheques.
Maintain accurate accounts payable records and supporting documentation.
Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and accrual support.
Reconcile accounts payable subledgers to the general ledger.
Monitor outstanding purchase orders, receipts, and vendor transactions.
Generate reports and provide analysis to support accounting and operational teams.
Contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and paperless workflow enhancements.
Work independently while collaborating with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate processing.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of hands-on Accounts Payable experience.
Experience processing invoices, performing vendor statement reconciliations, managing purchase orders, and supporting payment runs.
Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Experience using ERP systems for accounts payable and financial transactions.
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Dynamics GP.
Experience with inventory management systems such as Max ECI or similar platforms.
Exposure to automated workflows, paperless environments, or process improvement initiatives.

Desired Attributes

Adaptable and comfortable learning new systems, technologies, and processes.
Curious and proactive, with a willingness to ask questions and seek improvements.

Pay and Benefits
