Job Title: Business AnalystJob DescriptionThe Business Analyst plays a crucial role in facilitating business change initiatives and ensuring the successful implementation and adoption of new systems and processes. This role involves close collaboration with project teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and Organizational Change Management to support business readiness throughout the implementation lifecycle, particularly focusing on training readiness and development.
Responsibilities- Facilitate seamless training, business readiness, and hypercare transitions for stakeholders to support the adoption of new systems and processes.
- Collaborate with the Organizational Change Management team to provide effective change and training support for diverse groups such as Mariners and Shoreside employees.
- Engage in requirements, process, and solution validation activities to understand the user experience and identify training and business readiness impacts.
- Monitor changes in business processes and system functionality, updating training content and materials as needed.
- Prepare documentation, develop training materials, and support communication and readiness activities throughout project lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain role-based training materials, including presentations, exercises, guides, and other learning assets.
- Translate complex system functionality and processes into practical learning content for operational and frontline audiences.
- Prepare training delivery requirements, including session plans, prerequisites, exercises, and logistics.
- Coordinate training schedules, attendance, and logistics with stakeholders and the OCM Change Lead.
- Deliver instructor-led and hands-on systems training both virtually and in person at Marine locations.
- Validate training content accuracy and completeness with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Maintain and update training materials to reflect evolving business decisions, processes, and functionality.
- Support supplementary facilitators and resources to ensure consistency in training content and learner experience.
- Track training attendance, completion, feedback, and issues, providing regular updates to the OCM Change Lead.
- Identify training and adoption gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Support post-implementation activities by gathering feedback and assisting in transitioning knowledge and support to business teams.
- Collaborate with project management, OCM, stakeholders, and technical resources to support successful implementation and adoption.
Essential Skills- 5 years of experience in business change support, systems training, business analysis, learning delivery, or a related role within technology implementations.
- Experience in developing and delivering instructor-led and systems-based training.
- Ability to translate system functionality into practical, role-based learning materials.
- Knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles.
- Experience in technology implementation projects and collaboration with OCM and project teams.
- Strong facilitation, presentation, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage training activities and logistics independently.
- Ability and willingness to travel for in-person training delivery.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience training frontline, field, operational, or shift-based workforces.
- Experience with ERP, workforce management, payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, or other operational systems.
- Experience in multi-facilitator or train-the-trainer delivery models.
- Experience in marine, transportation, logistics, or similar industries.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment involves collaboration with Planning & Portfolio Management. The role requires travel to Marine operating locations for in-person training delivery. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of North Vancouver, BC.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
