Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support customers by handling inbound calls, processing orders, resolving inquiries, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys helping customers, working in a fast-paced environment, and managing multiple priorities throughout the day.

The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for both business and consumer customers, assisting with order entry, shipping inquiries, product questions, and general account support.

Key Responsibilities

Answer approximately 3050 inbound customer calls per day.
Create and enter customer orders accurately into the company's order management system.
Assist customers with order status requests, shipment tracking, returns, credits, and product inquiries.
Investigate and resolve order-related issues, including missing, damaged, short, or incorrect shipments.
Escalate complex customer concerns to appropriate team members when necessary.
Maintain accurate customer records and order information.
Respond to customer emails and internal communications in a timely manner.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure customer needs are addressed efficiently.
Deliver professional and courteous service while managing challenging customer situations.
Develop product and process knowledge over time to independently handle a broader range of inquiries.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a call center, customer support, order entry, or similar environment.
Experience processing customer orders received over the phone.
Comfortable handling a high volume of inbound calls throughout the workday.
Experience resolving customer issues related to orders, shipments, returns, credits, or billing concerns.
Strong data entry and administrative skills with a high level of accuracy.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using ERP, CRM, or order management systems.
Familiarity with distribution, manufacturing, transportation, automotive, retail, agricultural, or industrial environments.
Experience supporting business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) customers.
Knowledge of shipping, logistics, freight, returns, or order fulfillment processes.
