Job Title: Transformation Senior Analyst

Job Description

The Middle & Back Office Transformation Senior Analyst supports a major transformation program by closely monitoring the design, build, testing, and readiness of future-state Operations, Performance, and Accounting workflows. The role focuses on connecting business process knowledge, requirements, workflow impacts, testing observations, and stakeholder feedback into clear, actionable insights for the Transformation Office. This position does not lead solution design; instead, it provides practical functional support to ensure Middle and Back Office needs are accurately understood, reflected, and addressed throughout the transformation.

Responsibilities

Develop a strong understanding of current and future-state Middle and Back Office processes, workflows, requirements, controls, dependencies, and pain points.
Stay closely engaged with design, build, configuration, testing, and readiness activities across Operations, Performance, Accounting, and related functional areas.
Collaborate with Middle and Back Office stakeholders, program workstreams, business leads, and delivery partners to gather information, clarify requirements, and understand emerging issues.
Identify and document concerns, gaps, unresolved questions, dependencies, operational impacts, and potential risks to readiness or adoption.
Provide clear, structured updates to the Senior Manager, Transformation on progress, blockers, issues requiring escalation, and areas needing additional support or decision-making.
Support the review of workflow documentation, requirements, test scenarios, readiness materials, operating model materials, and other project artifacts to confirm they reflect Middle and Back Office needs.
Assist in preparing status updates, briefing notes, issue summaries, leadership materials, and decision-support content related to Middle and Back Office workstreams.
Support testing and readiness activities by helping confirm that end-to-end processes, reconciliations, reporting needs, controls, and handoffs are appropriately designed and validated.
Act as a practical connector between the business, delivery teams, and the Transformation Office to ensure issues are clearly understood, communicated, and addressed in a timely manner.
Contribute to process improvement and technology transformation initiatives by highlighting workflow impacts and supporting change management activities for Middle and Back Office teams.

Essential Skills

Strong understanding of Middle and Back Office investment workflows, including investment operations, trade lifecycle, reconciliations, data handoffs, valuation, performance, and accounting processes.
Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, investment operations, reconciliations, valuations, cash and positions, and accounting processes within an asset management, pension, or capital markets environment.
Working knowledge of Operations, Performance, and Accounting needs, including positions, transactions, cash, market values, exposures, accruals, close processes, performance measurement, reporting, and downstream data consumption.
Working knowledge of performance measurement, fund and investment accounting, data quality, exception management, controls, and reporting.
Familiarity with investment book of record (IBOR), accounting book of record (ABOR), and performance book of record, including related data quality, exception management, and control processes.
Ability to understand how process, data, reporting, controls, and technology changes affect Middle and Back Office teams and their ability to support the Front Office.
Experience in Middle and Back Office investment operations, fund accounting, performance measurement, asset management, pension operations, capital markets, consulting, or large-scale technology transformation environments.
Experience supporting technology, data, process, or operating model transformation impacting Middle and Back Office teams, ideally within asset management, pensions, investment management, capital markets, or consulting.
Demonstrated experience in testing, project delivery, and risk awareness within Middle and Back Office investment operations. leaders & stakeholders.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with investment transformation programs, including technology transformation, process improvement, configuration, and workflow impacts.
Exposure to investment data, including positions, transactions, valuations, exposures, accruals, and related reporting requirements.
Knowledge of controls, reconciliations, and exception management frameworks within Middle and Back Office environments.
Experience with IBOR and ABOR implementations or related investment book of record and accounting book of record initiatives.
Familiarity with performance book of record and performance measurement concepts.
Experience in capital markets, fund accounting, or investment operations within asset management, pension funds, or investment management organizations.
Experience with change management activities supporting Middle and Back Office teams through transformation.
Exposure to industry platforms and tools such as BlackRock Aladdin or similar investment and risk platforms.
Ability to prepare concise briefing notes, status updates, and decision-support materials for leadership.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect business requirements, workflow impacts, and testing observations into actionable insights.

Work Environment

The position follows a hybrid model, requiring four days per week in the office and one day remote, supporting close collaboration with business stakeholders, program workstreams, and delivery partners. The environment emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, disciplined project delivery, and rigorous testing and control practices to support a large-scale Middle and Back Office transformation.
