Our head office and BlueSky Hub in downtown Toronto are purposely designed with collaboration in mind, providing space where teams can come together to strategize, brainstorm and connect on key projects.

Our dedication to sustainability is also central to our culture and part of what makes AstraZeneca a great place to work. We know the health of people, the planet and our business are interconnected which is why we’re taking ambitious action to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our time, from climate change to access to healthcare and disease prevention.

Are you ready to lead a high-impact GI oncology portfolio and turn insight into action that changes patient outcomes? This role places you at the center of a dynamic commercial engine - where science meets strategy - to shape how we deliver transformative treatments to people living with cancer across Canada.

You will guide a cross-functional team to accelerate growth, set a clear course for brands and tumour areas, and translate real-world insights into compelling strategies and execution. Imagine bringing integrated campaigns to life, partnering closely with field teams, and preparing for pivotal launches that redefine standards of care - what could your leadership unlock across our GI portfolio?

Accountabilities:

  • Brand Strategy Leadership: Lead the cross-functional brand team to drive growth, align on strategic priorities, and deliver consistent execution.
  • Portfolio Strategy and Positioning: Develop and execute brand and tumour strategies for assigned GI oncology areas, including positioning, segmentation, customer strategy, and tactical planning.
  • Insight-to-Action: Convert customer, patient, market, and competitive insights into clear marketing priorities and impactful, measurable tactics.
  • Integrated Campaigns: Orchestrate multi-channel campaigns that create a consistent, compelling customer experience and strengthen brand preference.
  • External Expert Engagement: Build strong relationships with Key External Experts and priority customers to surface evolving needs and shape category leadership.
  • Field Excellence Partnership: Partner with Sales to translate strategy into field execution, including high-quality sales force campaigns, tools, and customer engagement activities.
  • Performance Management: Monitor brand performance, customer insights, and competitive activity to identify opportunities and optimize strategy and execution.
  • Launch Excellence: Lead and support launch readiness and execution for new products and indications within the GI portfolio.
  • Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Insights, and other partners to deliver integrated plans tailored to the Canadian oncology environment.
  • Global Interface: Build strong relationships with global and regional marketing teams to leverage best practices and ensure Canadian needs inform global strategies.
  • Financial Stewardship: Manage brand budgets effectively, making sound trade-offs to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Planning and Forecasting: Contribute to forecasting and business planning with robust customer, market, and competitive insights.
  • People Leadership: Coach, empower, and develop one direct report with clear priorities, feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Adaptive Execution: Bring an agile mindset to shift across tumour areas, brands, and indications as portfolio priorities evolve.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • University degree in science, business or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, with demonstrated success in marketing or related commercial roles.
