ATCO Frontec is a market leader providing facilities management, camp services, workforce lodging solutions, operational support services and disaster and emergency management for a diverse range of clients. We are a service-based organization made up of great people who work hard to get the job done and deliver excellence in the communities where we work and live.

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Cook to join and to support our remote camp in Menihek, NL. We’re looking for a great teammate who knows their way around the kitchen and is ready and willing to provide support to the entire kitchen staff with food preparation, cooking, and cleaning.

Our positions work on 12 hour shifts, 14 day on and 14 days off rotation. Accommodation and meals during your work rotations are provided by the company. Travel days are not paid.

Responsibilities:

Assist the Chef in managing food services in compliance with Food Service Management Guides and Provincial and Federal Regulations
Ensure meals are prepared and served to the highest standard

Support kitchen operations in a professional manner

Knowledgeable with the equipment that you are required to use in a safe manner

Inspect food and equipment on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis

Leave your workplace in a clean and tidy manner

Other duties as assigned by management from time to time

Qualifications:

Must have Red Seal Certification

The successful candidate must hold a valid food safety certificate

5 or more years experience in the hotel/restaurant industry

Ability to prioritize and multitask

Professional communication skills, oral, and written

Work well under pressure
