This position is based at our project office in Québec City, requiring the candidate to be in the office.

Your role

Implement the Cybersecurity Program for design and build of the rail system. This role is responsible for identifying and mitigating cyber risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and facilitating collaboration across technology stakeholders.

Collaborate with engineering, technology, and operation teams to align strategies across networks.
Conduct risk assessments and evaluate the effectiveness and impact of mitigation strategies.
Perform gap assessments and threat & vulnerability assessments as per industry standards by identifying critical assets and engaging associated stakeholders.
Respond to information security issues during each stage of a project’s lifecycle.
Define cyber security requirements to the suppliers and engage in the procurement activities.
Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate cybersecurity threats and improve OT security posture.
Deliver project inputs to meet overall project timelines and requirements.

About you

Diploma or degree in related field.
Security certifications or demonstrated experience: CISSP, GICSP, OSCP, C|EH, CISM, IEC 62443 Fundamentals, CompTIA Security+, CCNP, etc.

Experience/knowledge of critical infrastructure and ICS/OT in the transportation industry.
Understanding of IT/OT systems including servers, networks, workstations, and infrastructure.
Knowledge of cyber security frameworks and standards, including APTA, NIST, ISA/IEC 62443, and ISO 270001.
Bilingual French/English required.*
Critical thinking and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desire to lead and develop junior team members.
Strong problem-solving skills and creativity.
Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced cyber security field.

Additional Considerations (preferred but not mandatory):

Experience in security and technology relating to cybersecurity, network architecture, and/or risk management programs.
Understanding of other technology systems:
- Automation/SCADA/Control Systems.
- Telecommunications/Network Technology.
- Information Technology/Data Centre.
- Computer Sciences/Software Engineering.
Additional certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISA, ISO27001 LI).
Demonstrated experience with compliance and regulation (NERC-CIP, CSA, NIS, etc.).
Familiarity with OT-specific cybersecurity platforms and tools (e.g., Claroty, Nozomi, Dragos).

* This position requires knowledge of a language other than French, namely English, as it involves collaboration with members of the Canadian or global leadership team located outside Québec.
