Role Description The Security Technician is a full-time on-site role based in Moncton, NB. This role is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining security systems such as alarm systems, CCTV cameras, access control, intercoms, and related equipment at client sites. Daily tasks include performing system inspections, testing and troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and completing service calls in accordance with company standards and safety guidelines. The Security Technician documents work performed, prepares accurate reports, and communicates clearly with clients and team members to ensure systems function reliably and meet security requirements. The role may also involve occasional on-call support, collaborating with senior technicians on complex projects, and staying current with evolving security technologies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong technical troubleshooting skills for electronic security systems and related equipment.
• Candidates should possess knowledge of cybersecurity and network security principles relevant to modern integrated security solutions.
• Candidates should possess familiarity with alarm systems and other security technologies such as CCTV, access control, intercoms, and fire alarms.
• Candidates should possess understanding of occupational health and safety practices and be able to work safely on client sites.
• Relevant technical certification or diploma in electronics, security systems, IT, or a related field is beneficial.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and product manuals is an asset.
• Strong communication, customer service, and teamwork skills, with a professional and respectful approach to diverse clients.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the region as required for installations and service calls.
