Original job description

“Join us in building Careers and shaping Experiences Beyond the Box”

About Us

At Atlantic Packaging, every box tells a story and yours begins here. As a proudly Canadian-owned company with over 80 years of excellence in the corrugated packaging industry with operations within North America (Ontario, Quebec and United States), we’re committed to sustainability, customer excellence and community impact. Since 1945, we’ve supported local jobs and built a legacy of trust with our clients and team members. At Atlantic, your ideas matter, your growth is supported and your work makes a real impact.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, Procurement Compliance and Governance, the Power Platform Developer supports Procurement and related business teams through business intelligence, data, automation, and internal applications. This role is ideal for a professional with 1 to 3 years of experience delivering measurable business value through reporting, analytics, Power Platform solutions, and process automation. The successful candidate will start with a solid foundation in Power BI and grow into broader ownership across the Microsoft Power Platform, data integration, ERP-related initiatives, and emerging AI-enabled solutions.

What You’ll Do

Build, maintain, and improve Power BI solutions using data models, semantic models, DAX, Power Query, KPIs, reporting applications, and row-level security.
Develop and support business applications and workflow automation using Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and, over time, Power Pages and Dataverse.
Work with data from ERP, purchasing, finance, supplier, SharePoint, Excel, and other enterprise sources, using tools such as SQL, REST APIs, JSON, connectors, and Python where appropriate.
Support solutions across supplier onboarding and lifecycle, Procure-to-Pay, MRO, Accounts Payable follow-up, compliance, spend, forecasting, and other operational processes.
Contribute to ERP modernization, integrations, data quality, reconciliation, security, governance, and the reduction of fragmented manual processes.
Explore and prototype approved AI-assisted and agentic use cases with appropriate access controls, human oversight, and business safeguards.
Work directly with business users, process owners, leadership, and IT to understand problems, build practical solutions, test and deploy changes, document work, and progressively take greater ownership of production solutions.

What You Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Approximately 1-3 years of relevant hands-on experience, with examples of results delivered through analytics, automation, data, or business applications.
Hands-on Power BI experience and a working understanding of data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report development. You do not need to be an expert in every technology used in the role.
Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, curiosity, and the ability to learn unfamiliar tools and business processes quickly and independently.
Strong ownership, attention to detail, and clear communication skills, with comfort working across both business and technical teams.
Comfort working in a hybrid environment with on-site presence as required.

Technical Skills & Growth Areas

The role will use and develop skills across Power BI, Excel, SQL, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Python, REST APIs, JSON, ERP systems, ETL/ELT, data modeling, security and governance, and enterprise AI/agentic solution patterns. Prior exposure to some of these areas is an asset; strong learning ability and demonstrated results are more important than arriving with every skill on day one.

What We Offer

Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage (dependents included)
Teamwork-focused culture with sustainability initiatives and social events
A culture of appreciation through a point-based recognition
Opportunities for advancement and internal movement
Education assistance for continuous skill development
Academic scholarships for employees’ children
Safety equipment and PPE support program
Retirement savings and wellness initiatives
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Inclusion and Accessibility

Atlantic Packaging is committed to fostering an inclusive, accessible and respectful environment for all candidates. If you require accommodation during the hiring process, please contact our Talent Acquisition team - we’re here to support you.

We sincerely thank all applicants for their interest in joining Atlantic Packaging. While we appreciate the time and effort invested, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Please Note:
Candidates who are 18 years or older are required to complete a criminal and background check. Details will be provided through the application process.

Hiring Range : $68,689 - $85,861 per year. A candidate’s experience and knowledge may be factored into the pay a candidate receives for this position. This posting is for an existing vacancy.
