About The Role

The Deal Desk Sr Manager owns the operational, analytical, and process behind Atlas's deal solutioning. Reporting to the VP, Growth, you'll own pricing execution, solutioning live deals, monthly solutioning improvements, and becoming Atlas's resident expert on pricing structuring mechanics and deal compliance process. This is a senior individual contributor role, built to carry manager-level scope because it's building a function that doesn't exist today. You’re building the initial deal desk at Atlas. Your goal is to remove the back-and-forth on deals, know Atlas HXM's deal structure playbook cold, and support the Sales Team on winning deals.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Execution & Competitive Intelligence

Own customization of pricing on non-standard deals in sales and partnership.

Track patterns in competitive losses tied to pricing and fee structure (e.g., hidden-fee complaints against competitors, packaging comparisons) and translate them into actionable pricing guidance.

Partner with sales analysts on pricing issues and make recommendations. Present issues and solutions to sales leadership.

Deal Solutioning Adherence on Live Deals

Drive faster internal and client-facing decisions on solutioning, pushing deals to an acceptable, well-reasoned resolution.

Flag compliance concerns on deals early and facilitate fast, direct escalation.

Catch structuring issues early, solutioning deals correctly in Stages 1-3 so they don't resurface as blockers late in the cycle.

Solutioning Process Optimization

Own monthly root cause analysis of solutioning friction, using support ticket data and direct observation of where deals stall in structuring, pricing, or compliance sign-off.

Diagnose why deals get stuck in solutioning and drive concrete fixes to the mechanics themselves, deal desk maneuvers, pricing exception paths, rather than just reporting the same recurring blockers.

Become Atlas's resident expert on VGM and MSA structuring mechanics, knowing pre-authorized structures cold and recognizing when a deal genuinely requires Compliance, Legal, or VGM involvement.

Reduce back-and-forth on deals by only looping in functional teams when a deal truly falls outside established patterns.

Build a structured risk decision tree by country and deal structure in partnership with Compliance, so solutioning criteria are pre-committed rather than re-litigated deal by deal, the foundation of a future formal deal desk.

Feed the Global Solutions Director and VP of Growth clean, aggregated signal on which deal structures are working, which aren't, and where solutioning policy needs functional team input to evolve.

What you’ll bring:

5–8+ years of experience in deal desk, commercial operations, revenue operations, sales operations, solutions operations, pricing, or a related role within a complex B2B environment.

Demonstrated experience supporting complex, non-standard deals involving multiple considerations such as pricing, contractual terms, compliance, operational feasibility, and commercial risk.

Experience partnering closely with Sales and cross-functional teams such as Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to resolve deal issues and move opportunities forward.

Proven ability to improve complex processes. You've identified recurring blockers and translated them into clearer workflows, decision frameworks, approval paths, playbooks, or automation.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn CRM, ticketing, pricing, and deal data into clear root causes, recommendations, and business decisions.

Experience operating successfully in ambiguity and building processes or capabilities that did not previously exist.

Strong judgment and attention to detail, with the ability to distinguish between issues that can be resolved within established parameters and those that genuinely require escalation.

An AI-forward working style, using tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar technologies to accelerate analysis, identify patterns, document processes, and improve workflows.

Experience in EOR, global payroll, global mobility, international employment, HR technology, or workforce solutions is strongly preferred.
