Key Responsibilities
- Research emerging cybersecurity technologies, attack techniques, and defensive capabilities.
- Design, build, and validate proof-of-concepts (PoCs) to assess the feasibility of new security solutions.
- Develop prototypes, tools, scripts, and automation to support security research initiatives.
- Evaluate commercial and open-source security products and provide technical recommendations.
- Conduct security testing, threat modeling, and capability assessments across enterprise environments.
- Analyze emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker tactics to identify security improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineering, security operations, architecture, and product teams to operationalize successful research outcomes.
- Create technical documentation, research findings, architecture recommendations, and implementation guidance.
- Support technology selection decisions through benchmarking, testing, and technical due diligence.
- Stay current with cybersecurity trends, threat intelligence, AI-driven security advancements, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security research, security architecture, or a related technical role.
- Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as Python, Go, C/C++, Java, or Rust.
- Hands-on experience developing prototypes, automation tools, or security-focused applications.
