We are looking for a technically minded and relationship-driven Technical Sales Representative to join our growing team. You will build and maintain strong customer relationships, identify new opportunities, and provide technical solutions that meet our customers’ needs.

You are someone who combines technical knowledge with strong sales and communication skills. You will work closely with customers, technicians, project teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to understand requirements, recommend the right solutions, prepare proposals, and support projects from the initial opportunity through to completion.

You will be both customer-facing and technically engaged, using your knowledge of mechanical and HVAC systems to understand challenges, solve problems, and translate complex technical information into clear, practical recommendations for our customers. You will play an important role in growing the business by building trust with customers, identifying opportunities, and delivering solutions that provide both technical value and strong customer outcomes.

In this Role you will

Sales & Business Development

Grow and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.

Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within the assigned market.

Conduct meetings, site visits, and product demonstrations.

Negotiate pricing and commercial terms within company guidelines.

Monitor market conditions, competitor activities, and industry trends.

Technical Solutions

Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation.

Design practical, compliant HVAC and mechanical solutions.

Translate technical specifications into clear business value for customers.

Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and external vendors.

Provide technical guidance throughout the sales and project lifecycle.

Estimating & Quoting

Generate accurate estimates covering labour, equipment, materials, and vendor costs.

Define clear scopes of work, exclusions, and commercial terms in all quotes.

Customer & Project Support

Act as the primary customer contact from initial inquiry to project completion.

Coordinate with operations teams to ensure seamless project handoffs.

Resolve customer concerns and technical inquiries promptly.

Administration & Reporting

Log all customer interactions, quotes, and pipeline data in the CRM.

Provide regular sales forecasts and market feedback to leadership.

Adhere strictly to company policies and administrative procedures.

To Succeed In this Role

5+ years of experience in HVAC, refrigeration and mechanical sectors.

Proven track record in technical sales or project estimating.

Ability to read, interpret, and analyze mechanical drawings and engineering specifications.

Red Seal Refrigeration certification in BC or formal engineering training (highly preferred).

Exceptional presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for client site visits.

Attributes

Problem Solver: Approaches customer challenges with a proactive, practical, and solution-oriented mindset.
