Position : Automation Developer

Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Classification: Full-Time, Hybrid, Immediate Hire

AutoCanada is the largest Canadian owned and publicly traded automotive dealer group operating in Canada and the US. We are innovative, data-driven and our commitment to our Team Members, customers and operational excellence fuels our success.

We find opportunities to reward high-performers regularly and are looking for managers that empower and motivate their teams to do their very best. We want someone whose values align with our own and can support our people-driven culture of learning and continuous development. Working here is fast-paced, non-stop, and a little unpredictable - and we love it.

Your area of focus.

As our Automation Developer, you'll lead the work across our automation ecosystem - designing and building new workflows, auditing and modernizing legacy flows, and ensuring the automations running across the organization are reliable, well-documented, and maintainable by the broader team. You'll work with stakeholders across departments to discover and scope automation opportunities, and contribute to our ongoing evaluation of next-generation platforms. You'll also play a key role in monitoring running automations, triaging failures, and supporting day-to-day operations on our support team.

What Drives Your Day To Day..

Audit, document, and modernize our existing portfolio of legacy automation flows
Design, develop, test, and maintain business process automations and workflows
Monitor running automations, triage failures, and resolve incidents across the portfolio
Triage incoming support tickets, investigate reported issues, and resolve requests
Collaborate with business stakeholders to discover, scope, and prioritize automation opportunities
Translate business requirements into technical automation designs and deliver on agreed timelines
Write and maintain thorough documentation for all automations
Evaluate emerging automation platforms and contribute to platform migration planning

What Are The Must-haves..

Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related program
Minimum 3 years of professional experience building and maintaining automated workflows or business process automations
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Power Automate, including complex flows, error handling, and connector configuration
Familiarity with the broader Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem (Power Apps, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams)
Working knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP connectors, JSON, and OAuth authentication
Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting automated workflows across integrated systems
Ability to analyze, document, and translate existing complex processes into maintainable solutions
Clear written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
Modern AI-assisted automation techniques
Experience with full-stack web development (C#, .NET, JavaScript, React, or similar technologies) is a strong asset

The Perks.

Competitive Compensation and Benefits Package
Employee Vehicle Purchase & Service Plans
Employee and Family Assistance Programs
Company-wide appreciation events and contests throughout the calendar year
Professional development and the opportunity to grow your career

And those are just the basics. We strive every day to create a workplace culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity, ensures fairness and equal opportunities, and fosters a sense of belonging for all Team Members. As an equal opportunity employer, we actively support everyone in expressing themselves and reaching their full potential.

Can you picture yourself here already?

We hope so. It’s equally as important that you choose us as we choose you. Take a sneak peek at what we think makes this one of the best workplaces around.

If you think you’re a good fit to come along on our ride, apply now through our website at www.autocan.ca/careers. We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.

Our commitment extends to reaching out to individuals from various backgrounds and identities. We do not discriminate based on gender identity, race, national origin, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, marital or family status, or mental/physical disabilities. AutoCanada is committed to collaborating with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
