Position Overview

Autodesk Finance is seeking a Manager, Finance Business Partner to support our Corporate Divisions. This role reports to the Senior Director of FP&A-G&A and partners directly with senior leaders in Finance to shape budgets, forecasts, and plans.

The right candidate is highly analytical and strategic, with a strong command of forecasting, accounting, and strategic planning, and moves comfortably between high-level strategy and day-to-day financial detail. They present with clarity and confidence, and influence through insight and credibility, not just data. They bring a passion for excellence in execution and for continuously improving how we work.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver forecasts and analyses, and take proactive steps to achieve financial targets and hold quarterly variance to no more than 1%
  • Act as a trusted business partner to senior leaders, translating financial results into clear insights and recommendations that influence decisions
  • Prepare critical financial analyses and executive-level presentations that explain the context, the "why" behind our financial results
  • Ensure compliance with financial and accounting policies and programs
  • Provide oversight of the analysts who run the headcount and variable spend forecasting process supporting Finance, reviewing their work and guiding them on analytical rigor, accuracy, and communication
  • Drive process improvements, automation, reports, and dashboards across FP&A-G&A, with a focus on operational excellence and consistent, high-quality execution
  • Apply AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate analysis, reporting, and workflows, with sound judgment, validated outputs, and a clear point of view on where AI adds value and where it does not
  • Aggregate financial information from people and financial systems, then analyze and model data using Power BI and other tools
  • Consolidate Finance divisional reporting for monthly forecasts and quarter-end close

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting (BFA), Master's in Financial Analysis (MFA) or equivalent preferred
  • 5-7+ years of experience in accounting/finance, including FP&A
  • Experience guiding, reviewing, or mentoring the work of others
  • Excellent technical skills (Excel, Power BI, accounting and planning software)
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to turn complex data into a clear recommendation
  • Polished presenter and communicator, comfortable with senior leaders, with the ability to build strong relationships and influence at all levels
  • Track record of driving continuous improvement, including process redesign and automation
  • Curiosity and a growing, practical fluency with AI tools, used skillfully to improve the quality and efficiency of work, not to replace critical thinking
