Original job description

Toronto, ON | Hybrid, 2-3 days per week

We are a Canadian leader in digital automotive solutions. Our flagship brands, AutoTrader.ca, AutoSync, Dealertrack Canada and CMS, help Canadians buy, sell and finance vehicles with confidence.

Dealertrack Canada is the country’s leading automotive financing portal, processing more than 6.5 million credit applications each year. Collateral Management (CMS) provides technology solutions supporting lien and registration services, vehicle recovery and insolvency management for Canadian lenders.

As part of AutoScout24 Group, Europe’s largest online car marketplace, we’re shaping the future of automotive retail in Canada and beyond.

Join us on our journey as we bring together the best of Europe and North America to shape the future of automotive retail.

About the role

We’re looking for a Director of Product to lead a significant product area within our Canadian fintech business.

You’ll lead a team of Product Managers while owning product strategy and outcomes for an established, complex business. This is an opportunity to develop a strong Product team, solve meaningful customer and business problems, and identify new opportunities for growth and transformation.

You’ll work closely with Engineering, Design, Data and Commercial teams, as well as senior leaders at some of Canada’s largest financial institutions.

What you'll do

Own product strategy and direction, turning customer problems, data and market opportunities into clear priorities and measurable outcomes
Lead and develop Product Managers, strengthening their product judgment, customer understanding and ability to independently own problems
Identify new growth opportunities, looking beyond today’s products and business models to create new customer and commercial value
Stay close to the work, challenging assumptions and helping teams move from solution-led to problem-led thinking
Use data to drive decisions, combining quantitative evidence with customer and market insight
Partner with senior customers and executives, bringing clear thinking and credibility to complex conversations
Lead cross-functionally across Product, Engineering, Design, Data and Commercial teams
Explore AI and emerging technology to create value in our products and how our teams work

What you'll bring

Significant Product Management experience, with a track record of leading, coaching and developing strong Product Managers
A track record of owning meaningful Product decisions and outcomes
Experience working in a strong product-led technology organization
Strong ability to turn ambiguous problems into clear Product direction
Experience identifying, launching or scaling new products or growth opportunities
Strong data judgment and experience using evidence to make Product decisions
Ability to communicate effectively with senior executives, customers and cross-functional leaders
Curiosity about AI and emerging technology, with evidence of active learning and experimentation
Experience navigating complex products, platforms, stakeholders and workflows

Experience in fintech, lending, payments or financial platforms is a plus, but not required.

About You

You became a Product leader because you enjoy solving Product problems, not because you wanted to stop being involved in them.

You’re comfortable with ambiguity, curious about customers and data, and willing to challenge assumptions. You enjoy developing people while staying close enough to the work to help teams make better decisions.

You’re energized by building teams, finding growth opportunities, experimenting with new technology and taking ownership when the path forward isn’t obvious.

What's in it for you

We understand that there is life at work and life outside of work. Here are some of the benefits that support our people to do their best work:

Gym discounts
Employee and Family Assistance Program
Virtual wellness events
Conferences and training budget
Regular internal training programs
Financial planning with 3% matching pension
Competitive salary
Annual bonus structure

For a career where you can drive our business and shape your future, apply now.
