Summary of Job

The VelociT Sales Specialist - vAuto is responsible for driving new customer acquisition and revenue growth for vAuto solutions within an assigned territory. The role focuses on identifying, prospecting and closing new dealership opportunities through a consultative sales approach. The VelociT Sales Specialist will build relationships with dealer decision-makers, understand their inventory management and merchandising needs, and position vAuto solutions to improve dealership performance. Success in this role requires strong prospecting discipline, product knowledge, presentation skills and the ability to consistently achieve sales targets.

What you'll do

New Business Development & Sales

Prospect and develop new dealership accounts within the assigned territory, with a strong focus on net-new vAuto revenue.
Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, industry relationships and targeted account planning.
Conduct effective discovery and needs assessments to understand each dealer’s inventory strategy, operational challenges and business objectives.
Present and demonstrate vAuto solutions in a clear, consultative manner, connecting product capabilities to measurable dealership needs.
Develop proposals, negotiate commercial terms and close new business in line with approved pricing and contracting processes.
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and activity expectations.

Territory & Opportunity Management

Develop and execute a territory plan that prioritizes the highest-value prospects and opportunities.
Maintain consistent prospecting activity and customer-facing time across the territory.
Manage opportunities through the full sales cycle, maintaining clear next steps, close dates and accurate forecasts.
Maintain accurate CRM records, including activities, pipeline, opportunity stages, notes and required follow-up.
Monitor competitive activity, dealer feedback and market trends and share relevant insights with leadership and internal partners.

Customer & Internal Collaboration

Build credible relationships with dealer principals, general managers, used vehicle managers and other key decision-makers.
Partner with internal teams to support contracting, implementation and a smooth transition from sale to onboarding.
Provide clear product education and set appropriate expectations during the sales process.
Represent Trader and vAuto professionally in all customer interactions, industry events and market activities.

Administration & Reporting

Prepare regular sales forecasts, activity updates, pipeline reviews and performance reporting.
Ensure contracts, documentation and internal submissions are complete, accurate and submitted within required timelines.
Maintain strong working knowledge of vAuto solutions, Trader/AutoSync offerings, competitive products and automotive retail trends.

What you'll bring

Education & Experience

Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, Sales or a related discipline preferred.
5+ years of direct B2B sales experience, ideally within automotive retail, SaaS, digital solutions or a related industry.
Proven track record of achieving or exceeding new-business sales targets.
Experience selling to automotive dealerships and dealership groups is strongly preferred.
Experience with inventory management, merchandising, pricing, appraisal or automotive retail technology is an asset.

Technical Skills & Competencies

Strong prospecting, discovery, presentation, negotiation and closing skills.
Ability to sell on business value and outcomes rather than product features alone.
Ability to manage a territory and sales pipeline with discipline and accountability.
Strong business acumen and ability to understand dealership operations and performance drivers.
Comfortable using CRM tools, Microsoft Office and virtual presentation platforms.
Ability to learn and confidently demonstrate vAuto products and related solutions.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this position is 70K-80K + Commission.
