- Possess the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical plans, specifications, and work instructions to determine inspection requirements and verify component conformity.
- Have a sound understanding of dimensional tolerances and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), including the ability to assess measurements against specified limits and identify deviations from engineering requirements.
- Demonstrate practical knowledge of quality assurance principles, inspection methodologies, manufacturing quality procedures, and established processes for identifying, documenting, and resolving non-conformances.
- Possess working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 standards, as applicable, for inspecting electronic assemblies, soldered connections, cables, wires, and wire harnesses.
- Have experience using precision measuring instruments, such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other manual or automated inspection equipment, with the ability to perform accurate measurements and maintain fine manual dexterity.
- Be comfortable retrieving, entering, and maintaining technical and inspection data using computer systems, ERP platforms, production databases, and electronic quality documentation tools while ensuring accuracy and traceability.
- Demonstrate sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within established procedures, assess inspection results, recognize quality issues, and escalate discrepancies appropriately; basic English proficiency and previous hands-on inspection experience are considered assets.
